Virginia Legends Walk recognizes Virginians who have made important contributions to the history of Virginia, the Nation, and the World.

Anyone may nominate candidates for induction into the Virginia Legends Walk. Nominations open Aug 25, 2023.

All nominees must meet these criteria for consideration:

  1. The candidate was born in Virginia.
  2. If the candidate was not born in Virginia, the achievement for which he or she is notable occurred while residing in Virginia.
  3. The candidate's accomplishment must have been of national or global importance.

Tax-exempt contributions to Virginia Legends Walk of as little as $5 are appreciated. Please send to:
